Kay Clarke Swimming Gala

Just a quick reminder that the Kay Clarke Memorial Gala, is this Saturday 13th January, at Bedworth Leisure Centre. Could Committee helpers be there at 4.15pm and swimmers and timekeepers be there at 4.30pm please. We are aiming to start the gala at 5pm. We are also holding a raffle, with all proceeds going to club funds. Raffle tickets will be on sale on the day. Thank you!

Well done to Elliot Morrison who swam 800m for his badge and certificate on 5th January 2018.

Reminder that swimming is on as usual next Friday, 12th for swimmers who are not resting for our gala the following day.

 

Latest News from 22nd December 2017

Thank you to everyone for coming to our Christmas Party and Presentation. Photographs have been uploaded to the club album.

Some of the more competitive swimmers tried their 10 Minute Stamina Test and four successfully beat their previuos best for a new certificate.

Several others were very close to a best performance.

Awards were presented to:
Phoebe Tully, William Newton, Matthew Sloan and Leanne Gardner for achieving superfast swims at the NASCH finals and being given speeding tickets.
Volunteer Awards went to Anya Sloan and Caroline Williams (who sent party food and promised to be back to teach the small pool next year)
Fundraising Awards went to Sally-Anne Tully, Sonia Kelly and Marie Clarke.

Helpers, teachers and coaches received gifts from the club.

Reminder that there are some larger sized club hoodies (just right for winter evenings) for sale at a very cheap £10 each. One small available (even better value) for £5.

There is no swimming next week (29th) as the pool will be closed. We start the new year on 5th January 2018.

William Newton, Phoebe Tully and Matthew Sloan all completed a Water Skills 5 Award on 1st December 2017. Well done!

The Colin Bunn Trophy and the Kevin Whitmore Trophy are required for engraving ready for the club presentation and party evening.

Bedworth Disabled Swimming Club Raffle

Attached is a list of prizes for the raffle, which is being drawn at The Kay Clarke Swimming Gala on Saturday 13th January 2018. Tickles are 20p each (£1 for a strip of 5). All proceeds will go to Bedworth Disabled Swimming Club funds. If anyone is able to sell a few tickets for us, books will be available at the poolside on Friday. Thank you!
