Welcome to our new voulunteer helper – Emily’s brother Daniel Robbins. Simon and Amina visited us this week – both are enjoying university life.

The presentation evening will take place after swimming on 20th January. Any contributions of snacks/sweets/drinks will be appreciated. Many thanks.

NEW HOIST READY

A new hoist has been installed at the pool at a cost of £7000. The staff have received training in it’s use and it is all ready to go.

Mark Day completed 800m for his badge and certificate on 2nd December.

James Askew presented Treasurer Marie Clarke with a cheque for £1049.83, which was kindly donated by the “Ram Ravers” for the disabled. James has been a member of the Ram Ravers for several years, but it has now sadly closed. As a result, their funds are been given to other clubs who help disabled people. We are very grateful for this donation, and it will be used towards the running costs of the club.

Ashley Campbell-Barker swam 400 metres for his badge and certificate on 25th November 2011.

Raffle tickets for the Christmas raffle, will be on sale from next week, (25th November 2011)

We will be holding a Christmas Raffle on Friday 9th December 2011. We are now collecting raffle prizes and looking for ticket sellers. If you have anything that you would like to donate, or you would like some tickets to sell, please speak to a member of the committee.

We will be holding a presentation night in the new year. The date is still to be confirmed, but details will be on this website as soon as they are available.

Well done to Gurvinder Garcha who swam 50 metres on 4th November 2011 for his badge and certificate.

Bedworth Pool is being closed at 6pm on Friday 16th December 2011. The Leisure Trust are arranging a staff Christmas night out. There will be no club swim on this date.

Sponsored swims to raise funds for the club will begin in November. Lane 1 will be allocated to any swimmers doing their swim each Friday until there are no more requests. A length counter will be present. Any NON-STOP swims will also count towards distance awards. You can download a sponsor form by clicking on the link below.
