Gurvinder Garcha completed his ASA National Plan Stage 4.

Sponsored swim time approaches. Julie Ryan and Marie Clarke have already planned their swim. We ask all members to consider doing a swim. Remember your club is free and its existence depends on the goodwill of it’s members and their families. If you cannot swim please could you sponsor someone who can.
All good wishes to Emma Wilson who is getting married on 9th March.

Tamworth Gala 18/05/13

We have received details of the Tamworth Gala. It is to be held on Saturday, 18th May, 2013 at The Peaks Leisure Centre in Tamworth starting at 6.00pm. It is a sprint gala (25m Backstroke, 25m Breaststroke and/or 25m Freestyle plus a 4 x 25m sprint relay). There is also a width race for beginners only. This year there are three age groups up to 16, 17 – 34, 35 and over. The entry fee is £2 per competitor).

On 4th January 2013, Paul McKillop started the year with a Good Work certificate and Jamie Li completed his National Plan Level 1. Well done to you both.

Rugby Sports Association For The Disabled Sports Day 17/03/12

The Warwickshire Warriors are entering a team into the Rugby Sports Assocation for the Disabled Sports Day on Sunday 17th March. There is a swimming competition included and the football club team manager has asked if any of our swimmers would like to join their team. There are normally general indoor sports in the morning and a choice of two or three sports in the afternoon including the swimming gala. Swimming entries have to be in by 30th December with no late entries. The entry fee is £1.50p. If any members would like to take part please could you e-mail Dave Rumble on daveramraver@virginmedia.com   Gurvinder has already joined the team.

The club has been awarded “NB Leisure Trust Approved” status and the certificate was presented to chairperson, Barbara Lanwarne. We are the first club in the area to have been awarded the approval mark.

 

The Kevin Whitmore Trophy for Junior Endeavour was awarded to Bethany Kelly.

The Colin Bunn Trophy for Senior Endeavour was awarded to Mark Day.

 

Thank you to Santa for dropping in at a very busy time of year.
