Bedworth Disabled Swimming Club has been awarded a £200 donation from Asda. We would like to thank Asda for their very kind donation, which will go towards the running costs of the club. Thanks also go to Clive for applying for the donation and to Barbara for collecting the cheque on behalf of the club.

Many thanks to everyone who has placed an order from the Webb Ivory Christmas Fundraising Catalogue. So far we have raised a total of £29.92 for club funds.

The Christmas Raffle 2012, raised a fantastic £110.00 for club funds. Many thanks to everyone who bought tickets and donated prizes.

Between 1st July and 30th September 2012, we raised a total of £34.27 for club funds, by using the EasyFundraising website. Many thanks to everyone who helped contribute to this. The donations made in memory of Kay Clarke (Marie’s Mum and Bedworth Disabled Swimming Club Committee member for over 30 years), have totalled £275.00. Many thanks to everyone who contributed, it is very much appreciated.

We have now received our second cheque from Easy Fundraising for £21.60, which is the amount we raised up to the end of March 2012. Many thanks to everyone who has registered and helped us to raise this money.

Many thanks to everyone who helped out on our stall at this year’s carnival. We raised a total of £76.50, which was slightly more than last year. We had several games on the stall, including a Lucky Dip, Name the Teddy Bear, Tour De France Sweepstake tickets and a Treasure Hunt Map, but the Tombola proved to be by far the most popular attraction. We also had several enquiries from potential new members who asked for details of the club, so it all helps.

Everyone looked great in their club t-shirts (with a special mention to Joy and Mark who dressed well for the occasion!)

Very well done to Sonia Kelly, Bethany Kelly and Helen Field who all completed sponsored swims on 16th March 2012.

The distances were:

Bethany and Helen  64 lengths = 1600 metres = @ 1 mile

Sonia  74 lengths = 1850 metres = @1.15 miles.

Well done ladies and a very big thank you for raising a fantastic amount for club funds.
