News for 6th December

Results of the club sprint championships and the latest speed ranking list are attached.  They will also be on the notice board next week. Congratulations to all the swimmers, especially those who swam their fastest times. 

Thanks to generous donations for the hamper raffle, there will be more than one prize. Please remember to buy your tickets before the party and presentation evening on 20th December.

The  Main Pool Sprint Gala will be next week (6th December). Any trophies not already returned to be brought in ASAP for engraving.

The Christmas Party and presentation evening will be from 8.15pm on Friday 20th December. As usual, please contribute one plate of food.

Items for the hamper should be given to Barbara next week. Don’t forget to buy your raffle tickets.

Special thanks to Sam for stepping into Sonia’s place in the Mixed Relay. Sam and Josh swam in the Men’s Relay immediately afterwards. We were allowed to double up in order to give everyone a Relay swim. 

This is a lovely friendly gala, recommended to all for next year.

Results of the Rugby Games Swimming Gala are attached. 

We had 23 best performances and rather too many speeding tickets, although to beat your best time by 15% is a great performance. A few swimmers were started early by the officials and Kacie wasn’t started at all in one of her races. However, we still managed 13 Gold, 7 Silver and 9 Bronze plaques.

As usual there will be special certificates for swimmers who were unlucky enough to swim too fast for a place award. A special mention for Ella Newitt who has worked so hard on her strokes, improved her front crawl breathing and got three speeding tickets.

the orgainisers have asked if anyone found any items put into their bags by mistake as some people are missing items including a set of car keys.  Please can you ring  07967 964407 if you have come across any items that are not yours.

Here are the results from the NASCH Gala in Leamington on 4th November 2023.  They arrived on an Excel spreadsheet, so the relevant pages have been copied to a PDF. There are a couple of unresolved queries. Congratulations to all swimmers.

Here are the results from The Kay Clarke Swimming Gala on 23rd September 2023, at Bedworth Leisure Centre. Well done to all swimmers and thank you to everyone involved.

The tombola raised £61.89 for club funds.
