Please support our gala on 23rd September. You only need to be able to swim a length of the pool (any stroke). There are entry forms on the poolside noticeboard.

News From 16th June 2023

News for 16th June
Welcome to new members Elijah Marsden (Eli) and Aiden Cope. Eli completed his Water Safety Level 1 on his first attendance. Well done!
Congratulations to Kacie Rose Mitchell who swam 25m for her badge and certificate.
Jay Ellis, Faith Bevan and Della Rose all swam a continuous 200m for a certificate.
Special congratulations to Daniel Hodge who has reached 40 miles in his Swim Fit award.
Chloe Lawrence, Josh Bailey and Sam Lamb have entered the Dudley Olympics gala at Halesowen. If any swimmer wants to enter to complete a relay team I need to know immediately as the entries are about to close.

News From 9th June 2023

Congratulations to Della Rose who was awarded a well-deserved ‘Good Work’ certificate.
Jay Ellis swam 27 lengths (675 metres) in the one hour session and also set a new best time for 25m freestyle.
Also setting new best times were Sam Lamb (25m freestyle, 25m breaststroke, 50m freestyle and 50m breaststroke), Marsha Marshall (50m breaststroke) and Matthew  Lewis (50m breaststroke). Well done to all.
A reminder that entries close for the Dudley Olympics Gala at Halesowen quite soon. Last date to give in entries is next Friday, 16th June.

Apologies to new member Sam Lamb, not James – see successes last. week. This week Sam and Daniel Hodge both set new backstroke pbs after working hard on the stroke.

CP Sport National Championships 2023

CP Sport National Swimming Championships 2023 – Press Release for Partners

Cerebral Palsy Sport are delighted to announce the CP Sport National Swimming Championship will take place on 29th July 2023 at Alfreton Leisure Centre.

The Championships will give people with Cerebral Palsy of all different ages opportunities to compete in swimming. We will be hosting events in: Freestyle, Backstroke, Individual Medley, Butterfly and Breaststroke.

Please see attached for promotional posters. As a partner that has direct access to people with a physical disability, we would really appreciate your support in sharing these amongst your contacts and partners.

Congratulations to Lucas Chun who swam 5m for his badge and certificate on 19th May.
The following swimmers succeeded in achieving new best distances for a 10 minute timed swim:
Page Sephton (50m), Faith Bevan (155m),  new member James 240m, Daniel Hodge (280m), Beth Evans (330m) and Matthew Lewis (360m). Well done to all.

News From 12th May 2023

Congratulations to new member Kacie Rose Mitchell who completed her National Plan Stage 1 on her first session. Welcome also to new member Sophie Nevielle. Beth Evans and Seth Naylor improved their breaststroke 25m and 50m times after a stroke improvement session. Chloe Lawrence improved her 50m breaststroke. Daniel Hodge improved his 100m freestyle. Well done to all.
Alex Peckover, Beth Evans and Elle Newitt were presented with their club T shirts for regular attendance.
We have an invitation to a gala in Halesowen on 19th August. Any swimmer not on holiday who would like to swim see Sheila for details and an entry form.

News From 5th May 2023

Congratulations to Ella Newitt who swam 25m for her badge and certificate on 5th May 2023. Jay Ellis swam 100m for his certificate.

The squad swimmers completed a fitness swim and some beat their previous distances for certificates.  Marsha Marshall completed 450m (18 lengths). Beth Evans and Seth Naylor both completed 1,400m (56 lengths).

Sonia Kelly completed 74 lengths (1850m) in the hour session for a certificate.
